Head unit install in ashtray area?
Hey, this is a new one to me, I just saw a picture of a C5 which had the older stock radio / tape unit
And in the space behind the flap where the ash tray and lighter is, this guy has had fitted a single din cd player.
Any body else done some thing like this? How much space is there behind there?

Actually, quite a bit of space. There are metal brackets that you might have to cut away. I had to cut them to install my dub-din! But, why not just upgrade to a regular cd player instead of modifying the bezel??

The ashtray unit pulls out leaving quite a bit of space in behind. there are a few wires but they'll move out of the way. You can get a rough idea from the size of the ashtray of the size of the hole.
