I think I had to ask about four times before someone finally made it click with me. I could not get the console open.

I just learned last week that I have a 12-Disc CD player in the trunk of my car 
and I've owned the car for 2 years! The person I was showing the car to also pushed in my mirror and I looked at him like he was crazy! I had no idea the mirrors moved that way! I still haven't opened my console lid all they way and I use it everyday to get my bridge pass out of. :o

I just hope the idiot that designed the console lid for the C5 no longer works for GM. Or maybe it wasn't just one idiot. It probably took a whole team or committee of idiots to design it!

Yes, the center console is double-hinged so that when you open it all the way (vertical) it will stay like that without touching it. Of course if you so much as breathe on it, the console snaps shut like a gator!! 
The shift light is so small that you won't notice it unless your concentrating on the HUD instead of the road...something you probably shouldn't do at 5,800 rpm!!
Then again, I've seen the shift light so what does that say about me?

I've had the car since Nov of '04 today, while sitting in my car there was something on my drivers side mirror - I went to grab ahold of my mirror to check it out & it moved great I thought, now it's broke - little did I know they fold in I must have missed that in the manual.

I have had my car since new august of 03 and was bored over the winter which we are still having so i finally decided to read the manual dont remember if it said anything about the mirrors in their but i knew they folded in because i have had other cars which had mirrors that did the samething.I dont know do you have blonde hair?And if you do that dosen't mean anything ,you have a vette don't you that means you are smart you had the brains to buy a great car
