Default Anybody Remember...

a performance parts company that was active on here from Texas named Exit 36 or something like that??? I assume since I can't search my old posts and can't locate this company (perhaps I have the name wrong) they no longer exist???...
I have a damaged Donaldson Blackwing filter...it is still like new except for this crack in the plastic housing where the smaller elbow hose attaches to it...problem is, Donaldson no longer even owns Blackwing and they say I have to deal with SLP...SLP tells me I need to contact the place I bought it from and I can't remember the name of it in Texas and I think they went out of business...SLP offered to sell me a new one for a deal (not much of a deal as their deal is about $60 MORE than I paid for it in 2002 or 2003) and I surely don't want to buy something that has a lifetime (so they said) warranty for defects in materials...the crack is supposed to have been blamed on when the plastic was first molded, perhaps a bubble in the mould...I don't know but I do know I have about 5K miles on a like new Blackwing that I really liked except for this cracked housing...I have noticed that the SLP Blackwing has this plugged...was this because Donaldson had a problem with this??? I doubt that as I appear to be the only one who has experienced this problem...
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Bill

I think it was Exit 28 Motorsports.....the exit 28 should be the exit number you take off of I-65 in Bowling Green to get to the assembly plant. I thin he had formerly worked for another Corvette parts house.

no joy in mudville...no one to honor any "warranty" and I would rather not pay $40 more than I paid for it in 2003...
thanks for the help...
