I bought my 2004 coupe 7 months ago. It has 36k miles and is Spiral Grey. I was looking for a dark color vert. The dealer I got it from now has a 2000 vert with 34k miles. Both cars have the same options (hud, memory seats, etc).
I inquired about swapping and I could get that vert plus roughly 4.5-5k cash as well. KBB has the difference being 6k or so, while edmunds has it more like 4k.
When I did my comparison drives, the coupe beats it when the tops are on, but the vert beats the targa top hands down when they are off. The vert top squeeked a bit while up, but i was driving with the radio off to listen to the car and I imagine I won't notice it when I have the radio blasting.
The vert felt looser compared to the coupe, but I think that may have also been the tires. The vert has older goodyears while my coupe has new michelins.
I know a lot of this is just personal preference, but if I am out of my head thinking about doing this, please let me know.
