Not long ago a thread was posted here asking if we thought the C5 is dated. Every morning when I park in the Starbucks parking lot it is usually just getting light. I park well away from the entrance because I enjoy walking to my vette and examining the lines. I like the way it looks when I press the FOB to unlock it and the fog/DRL lights come on.
I cannot imagine calling the C5 a dated design. I have a C4 in my driveway also but no car has ever called to me like my roadster.

no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people asking questions no Vette looks dated from any generation, its more than just a car,its a way of life ! precious few cars can claim that

I agree. Vettes are a special car. Manuf want us to think they are dated so we will buy more. Planned obsolescence.
All my life, I have had pretty cars. Five or ten years later, they look like new. They have eyeball; they run good; they are comfortable, easy to maintain, etc.
C4's look dated to me. Maybe it's because they had such a long run.
The C5 doesn't look dated yet IMO... I still prefer the C5 exterior to the C6... altho I do prefer the C6 interior to all others.
I've always thought that up through the C-4's certain things about the style could make it "dated". Nothing bad specifically, just the way it was. But the C-5 styling is almost ageless. The curves and lines are ahead of their time. Even comparing it to a C-6 I still think it holds it's own. Just my 2 cents.

No Vette looks dated? The whitewall tires and all that chrome date this car to 1950s. It is still a beautiful car, but the styling is clearly part of a different era.
I was at the chevy dealer today they had a callaway there nice looking vette $76,000 I like the looks but it still does'nt do for me like the c5 but I would have like the motor in mine.
Maybe my eyes are going, but...
Half the time I can't tell a C5 from a C6 until I'm right up on it, and I drive a C6. No, the 5 is not dated looking! Still a great looking car, always will be.
