I asked this question on another Corvette site but the responses weren't constructive at all. I'm looking for info if there is any out there. here's what I want to do:
disable the DRLs, I can't stand them! I already have the fuse pulled so I'm good there so far.
fix the front marker lights to behave like the DRL's did. I run around all the time with my parking lights on, 24 hours a day. I like the small added safety, plus I think it looks nice. I was dissipoined when I first got into my C5 that the bright DRL lights turn off when I turn on the parking lights and they switch to the dim setting. I'd like those lights to turn on and behave like they did with the DRLs but only do that when the parking lights/headlights are on. I kinda like the looks of the bright amber lights on the front of a C5, I just don't like the idea of my lights turning on by themselves. anyone know if this is possible?
I've checked out my service manual and there are two relays for the DRL's, one for the left and one for the right. They turn on the DRL bright lights. At first it looked like I just needed another relay to energize those relays when the parking lights come on. Except it looks like those relays in stock form are controlled by the car's BCM, which appears to automatically turn the DRL's off when the turn signals are activated. So if I were to simply energize those relays with the parking lights, I'd get the DRL lights as parking lights like I want, but the front turn signals would no longer be visible, which is not good.

I think you lost me...
You disabled your DRLs 'cause you don't like them but then you drive around with your parking lights on all the time ?
Isn't that the same as having your DRL's on except that they're farther out on the edge of the car?

I think to point was he wants manual control of the function.
CorvetteForumS.com... Hmmm... methinks we have a probable trademark violation here... Sorry can't answer your question, but I guarantee you, someone here knows whether you can or can't do it.
