All the ones above my exhaust manifold broke... I didn't really take much care in ripping em out. I'm sure if you had the proper "tool" they may have come out without breaking.
FYI I got repalcements at Advance Auto for cheap... If you need em, I can get some for you...

I'd like to smarten up the liner but I just need to know if I need spare clips before I do the job
Thanks
Before you take the clips out of the hoodliner put a sheet over the engine that is cooled and then all you have to do is just pull up on the clip and twist it out little by little you dont need any special tools to take them out.The sheet is so if you drop one of the clips it will not fall in the engine but land on the sheet.I believe the auto part stores sell the clips but i have taken mine out a few times and have had no problems with them breaking.

I used a claw hammer to gently pry mine out the first time. I didn't break any. I broke two recently when I removed the liner for cleaning and to touch up some water damage.
Thanks to forum member GTC for giving me a bag of replacements.

Dave I did mine last month and didn't break any while removing them with a Bar B Que fork (where you keep the paint) for a tool. but replaced them (there are 15) with new ones bought from the dealer for roughly $1 each.
