He comes in ALLLLLLLL the time... He changes his oil like every 200 miles... this guy is NUTSSSS.... I was telling him since his car was in perfect shape that I wouldnt buy touch up paint and he was like.... just bc you work at a chevy dealership doesnt mean anything... He has come in 3 times in 2 weeks, and will NOTTTTT talk to any one but me...
You've just got a new friend that's all.
Well since he likes to use you exclusively why don't you level with him. Let him know that your just as picky about your Vette as he is and perhaps had a bad experience here or somewhere else, but either way your intentions are to treat him right and fair, and you would appreciate the same in return. Let him know that he demeaning comments don't make you look forward to having him as a client.

There really are thousands out there like him, and the next guy to drive up could be one of them.

I also don't give a S$%T if my Corvette burned tomorrow, or was smashed, it's just a F%^KING CAR! They make more, just like bags of potato chips! I enjoy keeping it nice, but it's got rock chips now and tiny scratches, there's plenty of black paint out there, I'll repaint it someday, or buy another car, I know it won't be the last 'vette I'll ever own, so who cares! I get a kick out of people who are so **** about their cars and belongings, they live a tormented existence of lack. They believe the world is out to screw them, and they guard their belongings like they are the last items of that type on earth. But the bottom line is if they had a bad heart and were dying, they would trade EVERYTHING they own for a transplant heart! STUFF IS NOTHING MORE THAN STUFF!
Thanks for your story, it touched a chord withme concerning a few people I know!

And when he DOES get a paint chip, he'll his BP will go thru the ceiling. Life's too short for such stress. Heck "my" C5 is my wife's DD.....................

When i go to the dealer to have my inspection or oil and filter changed,no one drives my car the only one that takes my car is the mechanic that is going to do the work on it because anyone else will park the car in between other cars at the dealer this way i know the car is going inside right then and their when the mechanic takes it.

As far as I am concerned, there is one good thing about these **** vette owners. Lots of them have garage queens, and that is the kind of vette I want to buy when I am in the market again.
Or as your mudder used to say, "When you get lemons, buy a vette from an **** vette owner. It will be a garage queen." I think thats what she meant.

That cant happen here. The techs dont do that. We have porter's are the only ones to do that. We do so much business here that if we just relied on tech's we would be here all day!!

I let my high school auto shop students work on my Corvette.
In fact, I insist that they do.
I also help them understand that while they might get away with leaning on a Honda, the Corvette owner is going to want to rip them a new one. I try to impress upon them that if they treat every car that comes in like it is a Ferrari, they won't run into trouble with the 1992 Hyundai owner that thinks it should be treated like one.
If you are a professional, act like one. People expect a higher level of service from a dealer. Dealers should deliver on that expectation, not concentrate on their bottom line (because providing better service WILL increase the bottom line.)
I've taken in many vehicles many times in my 40 years of driving. It amazes me how careless so many of these inbeciles who fix our cars can be. When I take my 'Vette in for service or work you can bet I'll tell them to be careful and or do a walk around. One shouldn't have to tell these people that-but obviously we, or I do. I've had too many scratches, dents, fukk ups done to my vehicles in the past. I'll presume some of you have had the same experiences. If you make it obvious that you care and that you're going to check when you pick up the car, chances are they may treat your car the way they should treat everyone's car.
