Tuning after headers?

wow i too was in this situation but when i went to ecs and spoke with chris and heard some with the borla stingers and the cam kit and all you get with the cam kit i originally told him just headers x pipe and stiingers an vavaram air intak went home and could'nt sleep! called the next morning and told him to do the cam you get alot with the cam kit! i had to bite the bullet and spend a little more than i intended and im soooo glad i did i LOVE the work they did!!!
The problem is I have no room in my budget to "bite the bullet." I am a college student, and my budget is right at $2K, which covers the exhaust. Chris gave me a good price on the tune with the Header install, but even that is going to go about $100 over my limit

Yea this is what I am going to do:
Get the headers and install without the tune for now. The problem is I always get in Wayyyyy over my head, and I need to put things into perspective sometimes.
I am 19 years old, and just enjoy the car. All I want it to attract the ladies
My goal is to have my full exhaust and some Z07 wheels and tires this summer. Then next year I want to add some little stuff (dressup) and add a huge cam AND at this point in time I will get the tune.
This will give me the sound I want, with the looks I need. I don't need to be thinking about to much else, I always get way to far ahead of myself.
Ideally I would like to do a L92 418ci @ 550 rwhp N/A, BUT I am not going to have the money to do that any freaking time soon. By time I am ready for that, I hope I still have the car
Mike (that's me) is putting things back into perspective for himself right now!

well i do feel your pain and give you alot of credit sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders and your money wise if it were me at 19 (well even at 43) LOL i would be maxing out my credit cards on mods!!!

That will be more than enough for me, for now
When I get out of school I can worried about L92 418ci motors... I need to save some $$ to pay off some of my school loans too. When I get into these modes it takes a while to come back to reality, haha, it sucks, but I know it needs to be done.Hell the fact of the matter is, with just these simply goals, I will have spend over $7K of my own money on the car already
Dammit "Mod Fever" sucks, especially with no money to spend... and the problem is, now it is a life time disease
