I saw a EMT C5 at Cruise In VI. I have a video of it somewhere - the blue lights were below the sun visors
Yeah that was me. I have the movies and will post them to my web site and throw a link up in a few days. FYI I'll be at the Cruise in this week with the new C6 with the strobes installed!
I hope they are all siezed vehicles. Using tax dollars for that might make more than a few people upset. I wonder what a fully prepped C5 Z would end up costing.
Before I retired I had a marked crown vic that I had to take home (always on call). I always wondered what I'd do if they recalled me and the department vehicle crapped out ? I guess it would have to be another 9/11 type thing to justify having to take the private vehicle in instead of calling some one else to cover, but I did wonder just how quickly I could make it in to the closest department facility (about 50 miles) in the C5 :-)
The crown vic with the interceptor package is plenty fast, and much better for getting around the city (gotta be able to see above and around traffic to do emergency runs in a major metropolitan city) but for a highway run, the vette's gotta be cool
Guess in retrospect, I'm glad that call never came
Those highway guys that use the vetts must be in hog heaven
