Any "first responder" vettes?
I saw a police vette in a pic on another thread. i'm curious if anyone has or has seen a first reponder vette: police, VFD, or EMS

If they're out there, they're not usuallly put into "service"... they are used as eye catchers for Expos, Demos and such... usually seized vehicles

farmers branch PD up here in the metroplex has a C4 that ive only seen at shows and such. i would doubt one actually used in police service because they wouldnt handle the abuse- curb hopping, bottoming out, etc that we put them through. the camaros barely did it.

I was in Florida last week and saw 2 Z-06's (C5's) in service on I-95 with the Florida Highway Patrol, they were working traffic and it was not "pretend service", they were for real...Once saw FHP with a Lamborgini, was painted FHP colors, lights, radios' etc...and looked "good to go", but it WAS at an Expo hall in Orlando...I'm assuming THAT was a Drug Seizure.

I'm suprised the officers were not screaming "Officer Safety" issues. They maybe were thrilled with having the vet for a patrol unit, but I'm sure they had difficulty of rapid entry into and out of the car with a full Sam Browne Belt. That would require a different set of training scenarios for pit moves, felony stops, pursuits and on,,,,but WHAT A RIDE.
