Door missing something behind the inside door handle?
I am getting a 1998 Black C5 on Friday. I noticed there were two place I believe someting was missing. On the inside door handles what goes right behind the handle itself? On the one I am getting has two holes where something was supposted to go but is missing. I can see into the door panel. Can anyone tell me? and maybe show pictures?
Thanks

Door Holes
I have the same problem with mine, I believe if its the same issue their are plugs that are suppose to go in there. Probably someone took the door off and forgot to put the plugs back in! I bought replacement plugs from Ecklers for $5 each. Hope that helps.

I have the same problem when I took the door panel off, when you take those inserts off their clips break and will not stay on again.

It is common for them to fall off. The local dealer option is the cheapest, as you will pay more in shipping from anywhere else than the part costs. I put a dab o silicon on mine to ensure they stay put.

Ok, that explains it, my wife closed the passenger door and the plug flew off and ended in her lap. i looked at it and yes, the tabs were busted, prolly from the factory.

Pm me your address and I'll send you one.
I bought a bag of them a while back, so I can stand to help out a fellow CF'er.

It's the cheapest part you'll ever buy for your vette from a stealership! Enjoy!
Alternatively, when I ordered some other GM parts from Gene at Parts House, I ordered a pack of 10 of these for about $5 or so bucks. It's only worth it though if u order something else w/ it (like Z06 sways etc).
