Default ZO6 Seats

I just bought a low mileage 2003 millenium yellow ZO6 . My question is the seats in any of the recline position seem to have about 5" of play or foward movement before stopping. All the way reclined they can be moved about 5" off the rear of the car where they touch. Both passenger and driver seats do this, so I assume it's normal. Any particular reason they have play in them or is there something wrong. Also I would love to post some picture of the car, is there any easy way to do it without a web host? Thanks.

The problem you are describing is normal. If you feel toward the top of the seat back you will find a lever that can be pushed up to allow the seat to fold forward to gain access to the cargo area.

If you want to post pics I would suggest getting an account with www.photobucket.com. It's free if you want basic options but if you want more storage and large pics and vids you can pay a little. Photobucket has been the easiest to use in my experience.

You didn't buy the Z through Ron at Vengeance Racing did you? I know he sold a low mileage 2003 Millenium Yellow Z06 for a customer a few days ago.

Anyway, Congrats on the new car. You will absolutely love your Z.

I actually got the car from Martin Auto Gallery in Pa with 2,788 original miles. Plus two sets of ZO6 floor mats, sill plate protectors, 50th anniversay trunk lid liner, stainless mesh inserts for the front radiator, a car cover and a little tiny antenna all from the original owner who sold them the car.

You've discovered the achilles heel of the Z...It's crummy, non-supportive seats. Then you'll discover how bad the Millenium Yellow paint sand-blasts off your car. I speak from experience.

Turbooo2u,
Thanks for the warm words of encouragement. Nothing better then spending your hard earned money and having someone state you made a bad choice. Well hey that made my night

You can always change to the sport seats, all you need is the sport seat foam and the covers. I think you made a great choice. I've seen other colors sand blasted too.

Didn't mean to damper your spirits. I still own mine! GOOD CHOICE.
