I've just bought an '03 50th Anniversary Edition, and have an alignment problem with the plastic dash cover that runs over the front part of the console, surrounds the radio and air conditioning, and extends to the left to cover the ignition. The piece is shifted to the left a little bit such that an unacceptable gap is revealed on the upper right hand side.
Can anybody offer advise or instructions to remove the piece, or an opinion as to why it's shifted? I don't want to have to waste money at a dealership if it's easily doable, but I also don't want to break the piece trying to remove it.
It's on many of the c5's that I've seen, including mine. The only thing i could think of is people have remolded there dash for the double din radios using some kind of epoxy, sanding it down, and then refinishing the piece. I just don't know how to do it personally.
