Micah,

Thanks for the genuine concern and kind thoughts.

It was a rough 2 days here in Southeastern MA. The rain and winds yesterday and last night were horrific. This morning, 4:20am, I woke to the heaviest rain and winds I've experienced in a long time and I'm 54.

The power was out and while I don't normally get much water in the basement I was greeted with 12+ inches when I went to check. I do have a sump pump which will handle any water with ease but the key element that was missing was electricity. I got on the horn with the fire department and they pumped me out in an hour or so. The basements not finished but it's still quite a mess, but I will preserver.

One area of procrastination has "been" a generator, well now it's off the list. I jumped on my truck and off to one of my favorite toy stores; Lowes. When I arrived they must have had a dozen generators in the front of the store, as if they knew I was coming. I bought an 8500 running watt model which should pretty much power up everything I need so it liiks like I'll be ready for the next one, you know, now that I have a generator it'll be in 5 years...

Oh, as a side note; I gave a look in the garage and my Z06 was sleeping soundly under its cover......up on the lift...

May the clouds clear, the sun shine, the temperature increase, and your basements be dry....

Lets Drive..........

We have been expereincing some serious winds here, but watching the news and seeing what you guys up North are going through, I wanted to send my concerns out to you.

Taking a break, been at it since 6 this morning. Two rooms down stairs with soaked wall to wall carpet, all the stuff up on blocks. Been using a wet dry vac but water is still seeping in. Gonna have the rugs pulled Wed. only been wet once before during Hurricane Floyd. I can't get mad, so many people are so much worst off than me.

WOW guys, sounds like things were pretty rough, looks like things are starting to clear, hope the damages are minor and I am glad to see that there were no fatalities (nothing I am currently aware of). Best of luck and Spring will soon come.

Thanks for the concern and kind words. It was windy and 5" of rain flooded our basement with damage but it was time to overhaul the basement anyway.

I think we are all of 3/4 of an inch above sea level here in the "swamps of NJ."

Lots of flooding here, rivers, streams, dams Etc.
Checked out the storage area where I keep the C5 on the way home from work today and everything looks dry and safe.
Going on a business trip from May 6-11 so it looks like I will not be driving it till the middle of May.
