If that is how people are getting up on the ramps, I could see how the ramps could get pushed forward. I just wedge the ramps right under the tries and drive up. The plastic side air dams are just fine flexing.

And I don't have any trouble using the black ones. (I've never seen the grey ones.)

I think the gray is rated at 12,000lbs and the black at 8,000 but the gray seem to be little wider too. I have a cement step up in the front of my garage that I put wood againts to brace the ramps from moving forward cause my floor is race decking. I can back up on them really easy too for cleaning the rear better. One of my cars is lowered so I do need to use the wood to get up on without scaping.

I picked up two honey-comb patterned rubber mats from the Anderson's general store to put under the RhinoRamps and they don't slip.
