I took my car out of storage this past weekend. The interior was damp and reeked of dead/dying mice and their poop, etc.
The dampness is what has me concerned, though.
The stereo worked OK when I first fired up the car, but then the left side speakers quit working. Now if I turn the radio on the left speakers pop and snap violently.
I think the stock amplifier had bitten the dust... anyone else go through this? I really doubt the mice had anything to do with it since they didn't actually get into the interior, so I doubt it's a chewed wire. Like I say, the interior was very damp when I first opened the car up.
I have seen similar things happen to computers when people remove the rear fins. Roaches and rodents enter the case and bed down. Firing up the pc can fry the components.
