Need some opinions
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...ax_price=23250
From the pictures does the back tire/wheel look like it doesn't come out far enough? In other words does the offset look wrong? Can't tell if the front looks the same or not.
Also...would a 4 inch scratch be a deal breaker for any of you? He says there is about a 4 inch scratch near the gas door. I know there are different severities...without seeing a picture of it yet I'll just assume the worst and assume it's too deep to polish out.
Car sounds really nice otherwise. B&B exhaust, both tops, optioned out, lambo doors (don't care one way or the other but he has the original hinges and it can be put back to stock).
Any opinions/suggestions? It would be a plane ride and a long drive home if I got serious about this one.
Thanks.
Buying long distance is tough.
I don't think it's a price that would make me travel too far.
Maybe see if someone local could check it out first.
Good luck.

1. Find out where any mechanical work on the car was done. Ask them for copies of all the work. Then, make sure you take it someplace and pay a fee for having it checked out.
2. Never buy a car without physically checking it out yourself. The scratch thing is a big deal with me. Also look under the hood and you can tell basically what kind of driving conditions the car has gone through. Clean engine bay usually means the owner has kept up the car and does not drive it in extreme conditions. Get it up on a hoist and make sure there are no leaks of any kind visible from the bottom side.
3. I am not a fan of Lambo doors. I have heard of problems after a year or of use. However, if you like them, that is a personal choice.
4. Lastly, make sure the title is clear and there are no outstanding unpaid bills for repair on the car. I know a guy who had a real hassle on his vette because it was not paid for and the previous owner owed big money on a major repair.
5. The price may depend on the condition of the car and you cannot tell what shape it is in until you check it out. Otherwise, like my dad always said, “A fair price is what the buyer and the seller agree upon”.
6. Do not send any down payment money. Just go look at the car. If he can't hold it for you, there are plenty of others around. Mine, for iexample!
