Some folks on the CF like to bash dealers in general, but I like to give credit where credit is due to Superior Chevrolet in Lawrenceville. A few days ago I posted that my Window Valet mysteriously disappeared over the winter. (Since I don't need to open the windows remotely in the winter, I haven't needed to use it.) Today I stopped by the dealer to have a chat with the service manager about it. I brought the instructions with me to show them what it looks like and then politely and calmly explained that it went missing. Without being accusatory, I asked if they wouldn't mind looking for it since it's not an inexpensive device to replace.
By the time I got home, I found a message on my machine from the service gal saying that her mechanics had found it. I immediately headed back and thanked her for her efforts. I didn't ask any questions. Moral of the story: being civil with people DOES work. Beth rocks!
So who was the dumbass that took it off and didn't put it back??
Whoever it was, at least it was apparently an honest mistake. If he'd been looking to pinch it, he have been like "No, dude, I ain't never seen that on no car...."
