Default Need help with homelink mod

Will I did the home link mod to the sun visor, mounted the homelink tho the visor, hook it up to a power source and everything work, then I install the visor in the car and the vanity light work, but the homelink doesn’t, remove the visor from the car and test again with the power source, and both vanity light and homelink and the work, any suggestion.
thanks

Your polarity may be reversed. Won't make any difference with the vanity light but it will with the homelink.

thanks,
Make some jumpers from spare wire and reverse the feed between the plugs when sitting in the car. You'll probably need a spare set of hands, though.

I was fortunate enough to test for this before sewing it shut. The pictorial instructions I found online led me to wire it backwards.

Did you get a new homelink or get one from a junkyard? Some of the earlier homelinks will not work on the newest doors with roaming codes.

I agree, I had the same trouble with mine. It took me several tries to make it work because I also fallowed the online directions and hooked it up back wards. try reversing the polarity it should work.

I wanted to bump this because it saved me today. I followed the instructions posted here: http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/foru...ad.php?t=40470

While that was a very nice pictoral, the polarity of it was completely ***-backwards. This is a very easy and cheap mod to do...just do it right.

Thanks to all.
