Post number 12 in the thread has pictures

Also where are you seeing that it is an extra $41 for the Titanium Black Mirror Finish?

Right HERE under "inserts finish"

I know "search" is my friend. That's why I did one before making this post. I didn't find anything close to answering my question.

I believe the Titantium Black Chrome is a brand new product. Not much chance you'll get enough information back. Right now its a crap shoot but if the vendor has good customer service you should be able to send them back if you don't like them (unused of course).

Any of you members have them? How do they differ from the regular polished stainless inserts? BTW, they are going on a white bumper.

Here they are, I think the black inserts are worth the $41 difference. By the way, if you try to order the black inserts, it lists a $41 premium price. Here are a couple of photos....

I've got the SS inserts on my fuel rail covers, front plate and back bumper...the quality of the product is top notch. However, there are a few "quirks" about the inserts you need to know.

The "V" for the front plate needs to be bent slightly to accomodate the slight curve in that area. Otherwise, when you go to wash your car, your wash mit will get hung up on it and eventually fall off.

Which brings me to point #2....I prep my surface and adhere the lettering differently than what the manufacturer states. This is a very expensive product, and you don't want your "C" in "Corvette" to..."plink"...fall off while you are driving, if you get my drift. Beside "orvette" on the back of your car looks dorky.

I have found out through experience (I also bought a set for my Z28) that sometimes the sticky glue on the back of the lettering isn't enough to hold them into place, especially when you wash the car a few times and you find a letter in your wash mit. I apply a very fine film of waterproof epoxy to the back of each letter, let it build up to tacky finish and then apply. (to a properly cleaned prepped surface of course) Those suckers aren't going anywhere! HTH!

I wouldn't buy anything from those guys. They had my car on their web site and it has plastic lettering. I contacted them about it and they didn't even have the courtesy to respond. I think they are rude and their pieces overpriced.

This was up yesterday.
