Default Electrical problem?

I was driving my 00 Coupe in a rain storm today and the MPH letters that lights up on the speedometer started flashing every several seconds! Any thoughts on what the problem may be? Has anyone else had this problem?

Do you get this problem when you wash the car?

Never noticed it before cause I have always washed the car during the day, this is the first time I have driven the car at night where it has gotten wet!

Was this storm unusually rough to where you might not see another like it?

Default Rain

Heavy rain to the point where the car hydroplanned on the road a few times, a lot of rain being pushed up onto the motor. I am assuming it was the water being pushed onto the electrical system but just was really odd that I have never seen it before!

From what I've seen here, due to the fact the front sits low and sucks up air, leaves and water, your probably lucky you didn't hydrolock your engine (bad news) I would keep driving and see if it stops and watch for any issues. If not, just be aware of this issue and be careful next time. Hope this helps...
