Straight line a stock C5Z will probably get beat out by a bit by the new C6 LS3. But then again how many bone stock C5Z's are out there these days... In the twisties i'm sure C5Z will still reign as king.
Come the end of this summer left over 2007 C6's are going to be DIRT CHEAP! I'm thinking a 1LT left over 07 will be had for 35 grand. Only time will tell.
well think about it. The aftermarket is so much bigger for the ls1/6 and ls2 engines. So what really has more potentional? The LS2 respondes really well to F/I .
The C5 Z06 is a production road racing car, built from the ground up for that purpose. The C6 is a Cadillac XLR pretending to be a Corvette. On a road course, it's no contest.
LS3 will trounce it... it's not some new motor, it's based on the 6.2 escalade block and the L92 heads that everyone is slapping on an LS2 making stupid power.
That motor w/ a cam will be making 500 rwhp... port the heads and it'll be 530+
