I came out tonight and didn't have back Lighting for the Climate Control. I still have temp digital display and all that just nothing else.
I'm hoping it's just a fuse. Has anyone else had this issue?
I dont think there is a fuse that direcrly controls the backlight of the CC. I had the opposite problem, and got a new CC from Digital Dash solutions off E-bay. Bought a 3 day turn around.
Hopefully someone will come in and tell me I am wrong about the fuse.
Theres a guy on the internet does the repair to fix the dim display. Try a search and you may find his details. Some guys have used him and apparently he did a good job.
The lights for the climate control (dash lights , not the display) are controled by the bcm . I found this out when mine were coming on even with me outside the car with my key in hand and the headlight fuse pulled . My problem was water damage to the bcm from a leaky top . An evening with a soldering iron fixed it though .
Thanks ... I have to admit I suck and fixing stuff and I have very little time to do stuff. Does anyone know a place in or around Phila that could take a look at this for me:?
