My recently purchased '04 coupe was very dry uunderneath when I inspected it. Now a small puddle collects on the garage floor beneath the differential, after a few days. I think its the differenal. Is there a fix for this. Perhaps an easy fix and a difficult fix? Thanks.
type in differential leak in the search bar and you will see at least 50 threads on this very common problem,
just had mine fixed under warranty $675.00.
My 04 started at about 8,000 miles. Have had it into the dealer 3 times and finally got it stopped. Was all done under warranty. As the post above noted, it's a very common problem. If yours is out of warranty you might be able to talk them into helping with the cost. Good luck.
I thought mine was the diff... turns out it was the tranny. The rear tailshaft seal leaks often, mine is leaking from the front as well... Its not cheap to fix
I've had my done 5 times and last year it leaked again. Before doing anything else, I drained the fluid in the rear end and replaced it with Red Line. Believe it or not, it hasn't leaked since. I've done alot of reading and I feel the problem is internal pressure and temperature. Red line says it reduces temp by as much a 7 degrees. Try it, what do you have to loose. tc
Mine did, I had it fixed, it sucks, but what can you do, it is one of the few things that you can bet on happening. CLB, diff leaking, the OEM glass targa pealing.
