Yes, depending on the size and location of the puncture, they can sometimes be repaired. For a correct repair, both a inside patch and plug or combination patch/plug should be used. See following link:
Prices can vary but some here have reported paying $25 to $50 or more, so check around for the best price in your area. Also, special equipment is required to breakdown a run flat tire/wheel and all shops may not be capable of repairing flats on these.
Have you checked it with a hand help gauge to see if it really is airless! Yes they can be repaired with a plug and patch, depending on the problem. How much $?? I don't know, $40???
This is all assuming your are speaking of Goodyear run flats.
As stated here, they can be repaired. It is suggested that they only be repaired ONE time, more then one repair and it is suggested the tire be replaced. And not everyone is willing to fix them. Due to the cost of the tires, you may want to "insure" them at America's Discount Tire. If the tire needs replacing - could save you a lot of money. I insure all my car's tires and it has saved me MUCH money.
I have been told that run flats are notorious for losing air when they have been sitting. Have you aired it up to see how fast the air leaks out? Just a thought. Good luck
The tire can be patched providing the nail has gone in through the main tread area. If its damamged the sidewall you can't repair it. The suggested method is a plug and patch from the inside.
I paid $360 for the rear tire that picked up a nail. It had gone in about 1/4" from the edge but nicked the sidewall on the inside.
i just got it fixed for $75 it was the smallest hole ever. like a pin size hole. they said it cost alot because its harder to take the runflats off compared to a normal tire.
