I ain't no pro, but that oil pressure sounds way high to me. I don't think my stock 02 ever runs over 50 lbs. I don't think the oil light should come on just 1 quart low. Mine never has, but I don't think I've ever been down a quart. I may be off base here, but I think you may have an electrical problem of some sort.

Next....

Its only your oil pressure sensor it sounds like. Read around the forum...Everyone has this problem......

If the reading is accurate those pressures are high. Mine gives about 60 cold and drops off to 45 to 50 at normal speeds when its warmed up and as low as 25 at idle.

The pressure sensors are fairly unreliable and you see a load of posts with members having problems. The normal snag is a reading pegged at 130 or at zero. A reading of 75-85 where the pressure changes is unusual. Even so, it could still be the sensor. Are the DIC readings the same as the gauge?

Just topping up to max shouldn't cause that problem. Guys smarter on engines will chip in to give the implications of running those pressures if its correct but I'd say your seals and gaskets would be at risk.

Bottom line is it could be the sensor gone south but it may be worth having it checked out unless you want to change it on spec. Theres a How To on the Forum if you decide to go that way. Try a search.

Best of luck
