Is that # directly under the GM stamp the production date? If so it looks like mine waw made in '04 right?
That's the way I read it Tony......that's why the 07 you're being told throws me off. I BELIEVE I'm correct but once made a mistake in 1969. Her name is Cindy

I just got off the phone with my shop, they did in fact order the rim from a GM dealership. I'll probably get the invoice just to prove my case even though I think I've gone above and beyond what I had to do to prove myself.
On a side note, I was talking to a friend of mine about this. He said that ONLY genuine GM parts will have the laser etched logo on parts. If it was a "gm licensed" part typically they only have a sticker of some sort stating that. Can anyone verify that?
I bought a pair of Z06 aftermarket repro rims (18x12) from Bob at House of Wheels. They did NOT have any GM stamp, sticker, or otherwise on them.
If the buyer's claim is that they came form Bob then have him call Bob and get the number of his supplier. He can then call the supplier and ask fit the aftermarket rims have the GM stamp on the inside.
Now, realize that a lot of people that buy stuff on the forum end up complaining about one thing or another just to see if he can get the seller to refund some of his money. Maybe the buyer really believes he got hosed, or maybe he's just trying to see if he can get some $$ back. If he really believes he got hosed he can go through the steps above to prove it.

Good idea, thanks I'm going to have the body shop dig up the invoice from the GM dealership to end this once and for all. I was actually insulted when he claimed that I bought the rim from Bob(though I have purchased rims from him in the past). My body shop would have NO clue who House of Wheels is
