It kept GM from earning the gas guzzler tax on the C5.
It works this way:
1. The engine coolant temp is higher than 120 degree F.
2. Your speed is between 15 - 19 mph
3. You are at 21% throttle or less
It can easily be defeated by shifting at higher RPM's, without purchasing the CAGS Eliminator for about $20.
