I have a 97 auto coupe which is a great car but with the 2.73 gear it could use a liitle more power. My best 0-60 on my g-tech is a 5.27. I am thinking about a hypertech power programmer or a jet performance power module. Any one with any knowledge first hand on these products? Thanks, and save the wave!!!
If doing a rear gear swap on the C5 A4, the Hypertech has a bug where it fails to perform the necessary program changes when going beyond factory available ratios. It will work for a 2.73 to 3.15 upgrade; but won't be successful with any gear changes above that (3.42, 3.73, 3.90, 4.10).
The Predator does gear scaling fine; even with non-standard ratios. But if your C5 is a 1997 or 1998 model, Diablo Sport does not make a Predator for those years.

That sure sucks..wonder why can't Hypertech fix this situation..?

the news from about 1.5 years ago was that they weren' going to offer any fixes for past models, nor change anything for those units yet to be produced.
Although they may have decided to address the issue recently. Best to call and mention the "P1870 TCC slip error code" so they know the exact situation you're asking about.
