Back in 66 I was stationed in CA and bought a 63 SW Z06 (36 gallon fuel tank, metallic sintered brakes etc.)
It had no power steering, brakes, or AC, and I thought it was the greatest think since sliced bread.
Got the opportunity to drive a 64 coupe this last weekend and I don't know if it's my age or not, but I'll stick to the C5. The 64 remined me or driving a 52 Ford Truck. Out of 14 I've owned the C5 is the best.
I certainly do. Traded if for a new GTO (His/Hers shifter) the worse car I ever owned. Bought the 63 for 2600 and traded it for 4000.
Got a call from a Corvette dealer in San Antonio that he had the car and I could have bought it back 6 years later for 16k. That should have told me something. Had a 59 with a 283 and a powerglide I'd wished I'd kept too. Hindsight is 20/20!
