The '97s are well worth looking at. Same problems with them as with the other years. The only exception may be a noisy fuel pump that was fixed around model year '00 or so.
Oh, and the "sort of" fixed the noisy fuel pump, based on my '02.
i got a 97, when i bought it, it had 45000 miles in 04, it has 66000 now, no real problems, except the ac vac line issue...how can i find out what # my car is?
OK all you guys that had 97s and never had a problem with them owe me big time! My 97 must have had all the problems yours didn't have.
Column lock X 3
Rocking seats on both sides
Drivers side window regulator
Water pump
AC compressor
Tranny sychros
Bearing hub assembly
Alternator (still has some charging problems)
Throw out bearing
Motor (that one is partially my fault)
Fan motor (a plastic Piggly Wiggly shopping bag got sucked into it)
Windshields X 2
Right side exhaust bank fell off going down the strip (the clamps on Corsa's suck!)
Broken output shaft on the same day at the strip.
Sticking fuel gauge
Oil pressure sending unit failure X 2
I could keep going but ANGMAN is laffin to hard already reading this list.
I think the car has as many vertical miles on the lift as it does on the odometer.
