PUlled over cause I was RED??
and said, "yes, I was trying to avoid you" Cop: "any particular reason" Me: "cause I don't want a ticket". He smiled and asked if this was MY car and I said yes. He said how long, I said 6 months. He then walked off, read my plates, everything cleared (I guess them thar bank jobs Jesse James and I didn't show up yet) hehehe.
He came back, handed me my license and said "everything is fine, you're good to go, by the way, sure is a beautiful car and its Definitely Red huh?" and then smiled real big. What I said was "Thank you officer". What I wanted to say was "Of course its Red, Officer, why do you think it caught your eye?" But all was cool, he went his way, I went my, shall the two of us never meet again.

Whoa...wait a minute. I just meant to share a funny incident that happen yesterday. Yeah, he pulled me over and he had a reason to, I wasn't complaining, just thought it was humorous how it turned out. Pulling out the credit card, giving wrong Insurance card, be honest about trying to avoid him rather than making up a story. I know I didn't have a Front License Plate and I have louder than normal pipes. So...I just didn't feel like taking a chance. Kind of like not kicking a pitbull, why take the chance (especially the full grown ones). Anyways, I wasn't crying that he pulled me over, again, I just thought my actions were pretty funny cause he caugh me by surprise even though I drove past him twice. Now... for my "ya dick" remark, my apologies if I offended anyone, I meant that in a joking way like the guys in the shop say "yoouuuu diicckkk", maybe thats just Kalifornia Slang. Did NOT mean it at ALL in a bad way. I think the cops remark to me about it "definitely being Red" was just his way of letting me know that it did catch his attention and may catch the attention of others, so Be Cool. In 30years of driving, I've only met 1 cop that was worthy of calling a real dick. (and if you're still out there, your a dick!) 1 out of a thousand isn't bad odds at all. Every other cop I've ever met has extended the same respect to me that I've extended to him (OR HER, don't want to stir up another hornets nest here). Again, my intention was to just tell a funny story of how I got pulled over and my goofy reaction. To everone that thought this was funny, thank you. To everyone else that read it negatively, my apologies, didn't mean it that way at all!! And to all that think there is a deep dark secret why I was pulled over, cause I look like the Unibomber or Charles Manson or 16 yr old without license (trust me, thats NOT the case here). Nope, just passed him twice, looked suspicious, so he pulled me over to check things out. (and maybe cause it was Red and...... maybe not). It took 10mins out of my day, made him feel better, made me feel better (getting off with no tickets) and allowed for a funny story the next day. Although my initial story may not have come out that way to some. From the Famous saying of Rodney King.... "Can't we all, just get along". <~~ more humor
Again, my humble apologies to our boys in blue. Upmost Respect here.

I will say my red Vette gets way more attention...especially from the police officers. I always just smile at them and hope they don't find a reason to pull me over!

Where does it say an officer can give you a ticket for obeying the law? If you're weren't speeding, you should've said that and let HIM tell you why he pulled you over... not the best time to start being a smart allick...
If I was you, I'd go down to the station and ask his supervsior to ask him what law you violated for him to pull you over. Even if he was just suspicious, he has to have some other probable cause to stop you.
This way you see, next time it happens... you can go ahead and make your "What I wanted to say..." comment for real instead of on the internet and you'll get the actual reason you were stopped, written for you clearly on the citation... and you can come tell the whole world about it. This way, it's not just another, "I got stopped... didn't get a ticket... cops are $icks.... I was gonna say.." thread

BTW, I think you left something out...

Don't tell me it's registered as a state farm vehicle...
Simular situation happend to me once on my torch red vette, driving in snowy weather at about 1130pm, notice a car following me but didn't think anything of it.
Drove for about 20 miles straight, speed limit (of-course) but only because of the snow.
After following me for about 20 miles, the cop hits his lights on a downhill slope. I was like WTF and now I have to attempt to come to a complete stop ASAP in this downslop, snowy/icy weather. Hit the brakes slowly and eventually stopped.
Cop checked out my paperwork, ran my plates, etc. He just told me it is very rare to see a car of my caliber in that location, so he needed to check it out. Lots of drug dealers and stolen vehicles in the area.
I politely thanked him for pulling me over, because I know if it had been my vehicle stolen, I would have been glad it was recovered and he was doing his job. Took maybe 10 minutes of my time, but he ensured everything was cleared and legit.
Plus, you know he wanted to take a closer look at the vette though!
