Going Bare
With runflats and no pressure sensors. I am thinking of simply using those screw on caps with the pressure warning and simply checking them regularly. I would be curious how many folks with early year C5's have and continue to run with dead pressure sensors. Right now all mine work and after reading all about replacine the battery I am wondering just how much longer I'll keep the C5 before going to a C6 and just if it is not worth it for a year or so especially if I have to unmount and remount the tire to replace the sensor. Is there any other warning like one gets with the other GM cars comparing the rotational speed of the right and left tire.

Pressure sensors give you a warning that tires are low, I bit the bullet and replaced mine when I got new tires (OEM Runflats). Cost me $80 a wheel for the early sensors (more expensive than the 2001-2004 ones) from Frictner's.
I have heard that you can tell if runflats are flat by sound and car handles differently, not sure I believe this.
When my tires were low (about 14 psi), I could not tell any difference.
