Didn't realize how many forum members prefer to drive something other then their vette as daily drivers.
Why?
I think I'll be able to save a bundle when I purchase my next vette used!
Garaged, low miles, pampered, waxed, I'd be crazy to drop 50k again when theirs so many garage queens!
I had an electron blue Z on order in early '03, when I found an '02 black Z with under 350 miles a couple of states away for almost 9 grand less. Very easy decision for me.

I bet, that would have been easy for me to decide too.
I tried to buy a 2004 coupe a few days before I found my used (3 years older, but it only had 17K on the odo), I saved over $20K, I think is was well worth it.
I paid $28,500 less than the sale price. Of course, I had to let somebody else drive it for 5 years and 99,000 miles. But it is clearly a much better value than new. I will have to be a lot richer before I knowingly take such a nasty depreciation hit.
Sometimes it is easier to drop a few grand down and make monthly payments than buying something used and paying in full up front. Also something to be said for driving a car covered under a warranty. It all depends on what you plan on doing with the car.

You can buy a certified preowned that's still under warranty and make monthly payments too. You get the best of both worlds
Each person makes individual (and family) choices with their money. If they want a new car so be it. I bought mine used, but if I made big money in real estate, stock appreciation etc. etc, I think I would buy what suited me for the moment. That could be used or new. People come from all perspectives and trust me anyone who came in to this thread with truly a lot of money wouldn't say a word. They would sound like a snob

I bought my '02 used and it still had a warranty on it at that time. Obviously now it doesnt and it would be voided even if I did.
