I bought an aussie clutch from textrilla with the aluminum flywheel, and all of a sudden I was pulling into work and heard a grinding noise when I let the gas go and, still had the clutch depressed. It seems to be fine one take off, and normal driving. I don’t race my car, I just use it for daily driving and I put about 5,000 miles on the new clutch if that. What should I do call the company and demand a new clutch? And what about the 500 dollars for labor? Any suggestions?

How do you know that the product was defective and the install was fine? Frankly - I'd be talking to the installer before I spoke with anyone else.
Also - just curious, why go with an aftermarket clutch for a car that is only daily driven and never raced? Why not just go with a standard LS1 clutch? None of my business really, but I am curious.
The person who installed it came recommend by the forum, he works for GM and does installs on the side,
I killed the stock clutch drag racing and I replaced it with a high performance one because I plan to race but I wanted to finish school first so if I did break something I could replace it without having to worry about the added expense.

I agree, speak with the installer first and see if there are any problems there. If not, and it can be traced to problems with the clutch itself, then a call to the vendor would be a good choice.

I don't get it - you race the car, but you say you don't and then complain about the clutch being bad, but it was installed by some amateur shade tree mechanic.....good luck.

I killed my first clutch racing that’s why I don’t do it anymore until im out of school so I can afford to break things, but I already killed the stock clutch so I had to change it so why not get a high performance one because I would like to race again.
