[Z06] Side window scratch

Side window scratch
Are Z06,coupe and convertible side windows the same or is the Z06 thinner? I am getting some bull from my dealer about a verticle scratch on drivers window,like I did it? I just want to get it right the first time so it only has to be taken apart once. I would like to know that they have the right window before they take it apart. Oh,mine is a'01 Z06.Anyone else have scratch problem?

Had the same problem on my '01 Vert. Vertical scratch on drivers side outside toward the front running about 3/4 in legnth. Something in the mech had caused the problem. Dealer made the fix under warranty.:yesnod:

I believe they are the same thickness because there has never been any discussion on the side windows, only the front and back glass. Front is thinner than on other models. Rear glass is unique to the Z06.
If in doubt use a pair of calipers to measure the thickness and have Ken Fichtner supply the part or info ( he may not like to supply the info, simply go to the parts counter at a Corvette dealer and go through the book / computer screen together )
