Question about frames
Are all c5 frames the same? I have a reconstructed Z. The left tire sticks out 3/4" of the wheel well. The car drives straight and took the alignment fine. But I was tossing around the idea of swapping the frame out.... What are your thoughts?

A bunch of possibilities. It could be the body shop didn't get the inner fender liners mounted correctly. If they are not mounted correctly the fenders will be off. I would assume the front end body panels must not be centered correctly. Not sure what you meant by taking the alignment correctly. There is a fair amount of adjustment in the alignment if somebody added a lot of shims behind the upper control arm mounts they could push the top of the front wheel out quite a bit. Take a look at the control arms and see how the lower alignment cams are set and how many shims are being used on the upper arms. If you bought the car used it may have the lower cams replaced with a T1 type setup that pushes the lower control arm out to gain a lot of negative camber. Then to get a normal alignment a shop would have to add a lot of shims at the top.
