First one in over 6 years with a vette. Stopped for 87 in a 60. Yes, I know. I was flying low, but didn't know I was in a "construction zone". At least there were no workers present. I was pizzed off from my trip to H-town (see http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...php?t=1698822). Stopped in Sulpher, LA. LEO was a nice guy, and everything was in order on my part, so he dropped it to 82 so I don't have to go to court. I guess I will try to get a diversion. At least he didn't get me when I was going 90-95+. I was on schedule to make it from Houston to Baton Rouge in 3.5 hours til I got caught. Still got 26.5 MPG averaging 78 MPH.

Don't mis-understand, I'm not being judgemental, I'm being philosophical.....for all the times that we all exceed the speed limit and don't get caught, once in a while the luck runs out and you get caught.
I got my first speeder in over 20 years three years ago. I went to traffic school and paid my $125 fine. If you're going to dance to the music, you have to pay the piper. Hang in there....
Sorry to hear that man, that always sux, I got one on my honeymoon, lol, My wife got a pic of me signing the ticket. And Yes the Police Officer was smiling BIG.
So you were going 87 in a 60 a clear violation... and you admitted it... that is the risk you take every time you break the speed limit. Not sure why would be pissed.
Your insurance company will probably turn their back on it if you call them (depending on the company), USAA has a policy that if you have not been ticketed for five years straight the waive one ticket.
