I have both XM at home, and Sirius in my car. I will take sirius over XM. i think the content is better. Both with music and talk. the sirius player that you have will also replay up to 45 minutes. its kinda like a tivo for your radio. but only the last channel, if you power it down or change the channel the memory resets. it also has a cool memo feature that will let you store up to 30 of your favorite artists or songs, and will alert you if they are playing on any other channel.
does anyone know what I will need to set these up in my car because we got both of these recievers from a friend and no cords
Radio shack will have all you need for the sirius. get the Starmate replay auto kit. I ran the antenna wire from behind my right tail light, thru the trunk compartment (drilled small hole) under carpet, waterfall, and console and through the active handling panel. plugged the power into the aux. accessory plug in the center console, and pulled it thru the console and up from the active handling panel. I installed a verizon PDA holder, to hold the unit, on the right side of my radio bezel and just run the cords to it. I take my radio from one vehicle to another, if not i would have done the modification to the ash tray and intalled it there.

Had XM for 2 years. They auto renewed me after me telling them 4 months ago not to. Then they auto renewed someone else on my credit card. After 28 days and still hearing how it will come off my card any moment I reported fruad on the transaction. To make nice they offered me a free year. XM has gone down hill quickly. Have it in all three of my cars and move the head unit to and fro. Lost Nascar now and are pushing the merger. I wouldnt redoe it if I had to over again with close to 1g install across all vehicles.

someone needs a visit from cuzzin vinnie to straighten that out.
Sounds like Sirius is the way to go until they merge... havn't really heard anything goos about XM here yet. My entire family has XM but that came with their cars so I guess thats a little different
I had XM in my CTS-V and hated it. The Top 40 type music was a bit more abundant on XM but all in all Sirius has a far better variety of music. I love the memo feature on the Replay too. I wish my Kenwood head unit had that feature. If you can, use the AUX output on the receiver. The sound quality that way is far superior to using the FM transmitter and you won't have to worry about local radio bleeding through.
