If you went below the AS1 line on the windshield, it's not a matter of if you're getting pulled over, but when. That's completely illegal no matter what state you're in.
Just got my done this evening w/35% all around. The guy said it was a "high-performance" tint that was tinted with a thin metal strip rather than dye like most tint, it's guaranteed to never fade, the other had a 5yr warranty.
I will have pics up tommorow!!
20%...I think you will be unhappy with anything less. 35% is noticeable, but you can still see through to the inside of the car without any problems. 20% with a dark interior looks noticably darker than 20% on a lighter interior colored car...keep that in mind too

Wow Tint jobs look awesome
Newbie here - what does the % mean ?
What does it cost to have a coupe tinted ?
Does it make a significant difference in the cars interior temp ?
Are there different types of tints, materials, which is best for keeping the interior cooler ?
Any drawbacks to tinting ?
I have a question for all you guys with tint. How does it look on the back window on top where all of those "little black dots" are? I was told that those black dots do not come off and keep the tint raised from the glass, therefor, will result in a lighter area. Not necessarily bubbled, but somewhat I guess, if that makes sense. The guy who did my tint said all vettes, and most GM's were like this, and there isn't anything that can be done about it.

Yep there is a little something going on at the top of the back window. Not sure how to describe it but it is barely noticable.
