Because im 19 and they must have just found out because ive had it for 3 months then out of the blue they call me and say we have to drop you due to driver inexpieriance. And ive gone though 3 insurance brokers that scour the country for insurance and they all came up with just the one i had no others would do it. o and ive never got a ticket or been in an accident in my life.
you have to realize that something's wrong. I'm 18 and I drive an 04 vette, don't have any problems with my insurance company, and or my driving experience. You should look around before trading that vette. You'll regret it for the REST OF YOUR LIFE

Keep checking before you decide to sell. There are a number of younger forum members here that have found a company to insure them. The Cobra won't be any better in terms of insurance.
I had Amica Mutual when I was 17 with a 94 Formula Firebird, my insurance was cheap too, I was under my parents and the car was listed as pleasure. Just do it that way.
My 16 year old just got her first car, for her to be primary on a 2000 VW was more then my wife and I spent on two vehicles full coverage. Put myself on the VW as the primary driver and the vet as my pleasure vehicle... saved us over 1000.00 every 6 months.
Get away from the insurance ****'s, see if your parents will let you piggyback on their coverage, or search for another insurance carrier.
Call the insurance company up and ask them "What the hell do you think I should drive?" Ask that question before you tell them you are going to go some place else to get insured, because they are a bunch of idiots.
Honestly, there are dozens of young drivers on this boards and other boards and to have an insurance company drop you without any real reasons except the car you own, they aren't right for you.
My insurance dropped around $40/month when I went from my 1999 Z28 to my 2000 COUPE. You could go out and buy a STi, an EVO, a COBRA a MACH1 or a SRT4 and the insurance company would have to evaluate each car for the sames reasons, safety, use, sporting packages, etc.
There is a company that will take you under their wing and insure you, call around, get a quote and dump the company that you are with.
Have a parent get on as primary and list the vette as a pleasure/seasonal vehicle. Don't let some lame a$$ insurance company influence you to get rid of your vette....find another insurance company
Put the vette in someone else's name (Older sibling or parent),
List your self as an additional driver.
I have done this with mine as my insurance company will not insure High performance cars.
That is what I did when I was 16 and got my first Vette. Have you checked with State Farm? I think that is the Insurance company that is sports car friendly.
I'd be really suprised if it was a different story for the Cobra. My Vette is quite a bit cheaper to insure than the 03 Cobra I was thinking about. Mustangs in general have higher premiums for younger drivers because they are relatively fast and easier to afford.
Good luck, I'd go with the advice above and check into other companies.
