I've installed two sets of the SS inserts and love them. No problem to date in the 2 1/2 years I've had them but the "R" needs a slight adjustment at time of install. The leg had to be bent slightly to match the contour of my C5 rear panel. Same for the "TT". I adjusted it slightly to be perfectly flush before I peeled off the adhesive backing. When I wash my car there is absolutely no snagging of the letters.

I talked to them today, and they said they'd send a replacement. He also said the prep was probably the problem, the fact that I didnt use the promoter wasn't. Seems like my method is the same as others listed above, so I'm hoping maybe it was just a bad letter? I guess I'll find out if others start biting the dust...

They took care of you, as others have said they stick great. I did use the adhesive promotor and I cleaned and dried the surface very well. I am on 2+years of zero problems

It's funny you mention the adhesion promoter. When I got my letters, the promoter package had a hole in it and was dry. I called them (wish I would have got a name now) and they told me I didn't need it on a C5 and the C6's were the only ones who really needed it.... seems as though this wasn't the case. I'll see what I can do.
I had the same situation regarding the dried up adhesion promoter. I went ahead and cleaned everything very well and installed the letters without the adhesion promoter and everything has held up fine with mine. I'm on my second set because of some rear end damage that required the removal of the original letters. I haven't had any issues with either set.

Yes, scroll down the vendor list at the left, you'll find them under accessories.

I installed mine about 4-5 years ago on the Corvette in Mich. in a heated garage in January (not the best place or time).
But no problems yet, I cleaned the inset where the letters go with brake clean on a clean towel then let it air dry then wiped it down with denatured alcohol and let it air dry then pressed in the letters.
Then did it the same way 1 1/2 years ago on my GTO in Fl. and no problems there either.
