I was just there about 1 1/2 months ago, had a blast. I had a great sushi dinner at a place called (forgive the spelling cuz i have no idea how to spell this) Futikara or someplace that sounded like that.
You doing the grand slam package at the Copley Place Marriott? I purchased the package for Labor Day weekend, it's going to be my wife's Mother's Day gift this weekend. I don't plan on using the car much, Fenway is walking distance and public transportation will probably get you most places. BTW, plan on $40 a day parking at the Marriott. As for tips, this will be her weekend, so whatever she wants to do we do, but I'm hoping to visit Cheers and eat lots of seafood someplace. The wife will probably want to hit a museum, the aquarium, all the shops, etc. Don't know about Belushi's grave, but let me know what you find out, we're heading to the cape in July.

Awesome city. Great Italian restaurants and seafood, obviously.
Worst drivers in the US. They just cut you off. No looking. Maybe a glance AFTER they flip you off.
Or get totally out of Boston, head north on 95 & follow Rt. 16 in New Hampshire north to the White Mountains, Cog Railway, Mt. Washington, the Kankamangus Hwy.... some serious cruzin' and better scenery than Boston will ever know !

you get to see schilling pitch too, should be a good game. everything ptdrummer mentioned are good tourist attractions. you could also look into doing a duck tour, a big boat on wheels that drives you around boston giving you a tour. it will also actually go into the water, and float around parts of boston. also for food, i have to suggest Massiminos in the north end, if you are an italian food fan, this is the best place in boston to eat. the food, the atmosphere, the service, just not your average restaurant.
oh, and taxis are your best bet, dont even think about tryin to drive the vette around boston if you dont know exactly where your going. very easy to get lost, and even easier to get into an accident with the way people drive here, its every man for himself once you get behind the wheel in boston.
There is a good and simple subway system. You can ride it to very near Fenway. We rode it there. Fenway is a blast. Most of the resturants I know have been mentioned.
There is a pastry shop in the Italian north end that I cant remember the name of that has killer pastries.
You will have a great time.
Which Marriot?
If long wharf, you are a very short walk to Fanuel Hall.
The Oyster house is one of my favorites, oldest restaurant in Boston?
You are in for a perfect weather weekend!
Sox should take Baltimore and keep rolling, who needs Clemens??
Have a great time, and park the vette when in the city.
Union Oyster House, Durgin Park, No Name Restaurant, Legal Seafood, The sub place on Comm Ave just north of Kenmore Square....
Now I'm hungry..
Swan boats on the Boston Common, The Freedon Trail, USS Constitution, Bunker Hill, The Old North Church - I'm homesick!!!
Oh yeah, Boston Creme Pie at the Parker House.
I agree with all of these..I was a BOS native for 62 years. At NoName order the clam roll without the roll (equates a huge clam plate) and the seafood chowder and Greek rice pudding.
To the other post about a pastry place in the North End....the name is Mike's...right on Hanover Street....the cannolis are to die for.
I lived just outside of BOS and never tokk the Corvette to downtown even though I knew all the streets and shortcuts, etc. Drivers there are rude and crazy....traffic lights are merely a suggestion....clogged intersections, etc.
Once you get to the hotel, park the vette and don't drive it until you are ready to go home. Roads and drivers suck. As others have mentioned, Boston has great food.bars, etc.... Fenway will be a blast. Hit the Cask N Flagon on the corner of Brookline and Landsdowne (across the street from Fenway), for a few pre-game cold ones.
There will be an s-load of traffic Monday during the morning rush. If you don't mind traffic, then leave for MV anytime, but if you rather miss the bulk of the madness, don't head out between 7 and 9 AM.
Fanuel Hall Is fun and so is riding on the T. If you get the chance go to the Prudental tower and take the tour to the top. It's a great view and you get to learn about the city plus you can get on the duck boat tour there
