Default Not With Texas Speed

Not Happy With Texas Speed

This experience had started about a month ago or longer when I first bought my Z06. I called Texas Speed and ordered thier Non-emission headers and non-emission X-pipe as a combo. Thier prices were great thier customer service was excellent too!! But the X-pipes were on back order for 4 weeks is what I had been told, but they did have the headers in stock. They assured me that they would ship out the headers and x-pipe together when they received them. So everything was legit. I gave them my credit card info and they said that it would be charged when my parts were shipped.

Well yesterday was a wonderful day for me as I called up to Texas Speed to see if they had received thier shipment of cat-less X-pipes. They said that the x-pipes had come in and they would ship out tomorrow (today friday).

Today I was driving to the bank to get some cash out and on the way there I received a call from Texas Speed, me thinking that they were going to confirm that my shipment was sent off and my card was charged... WRONG! They called to ask if I would have a problem with them sending me headers that were plumbed for air tubes... So I told them that I ordered non-emission headers and they confirmed that, yes I did.

So my question is why did I not receive the headers that they had a month ago. Or why wouldn't they have had put them aside for me, knowing that they had my cc info and knowing that I wanted the combo. 1 month later... No headers.

Thanks,

Kyle Wooldridge

That's a damm fine question. Did you ask it to them? Sorry about the problem. Sucks waiting for things. Sucks even more waiting longer than you were told.

No they were in stock, and I asked if they wanted to ship them off the day i ordered them and they replied that they would ship them off when the x-pipe came in...

I just don't understand that if I ordered my headers and x-pipe and I was in line before others, why wouldn't they set a set of headers back for me???

Well, only the guys at TSP can answer your question for sure...but my guess is that they sold them to another customer who they could fill their complete order. They probably didn't anticipate a shortage of headers when your x-pipe came in.

From my personal experience, the guys at TSP go out of their way to make their customers happy. Sometimes things happen that they don't anticipate or control. I don't blame you for going with another vendor, but you could experience the same or similar problem.
