Quality is fantastic. Mine have been on the car over 4 years now, no complaints.

I've owned lots of custom wheels over the years, including HRE's, and these Iforged's are right there at the top in finish and construction quality.

Mine were flawless when I received them and they've held up well too. IMO, get the chrome centers, polishing the barrels isn't too bad, but you don't want to have to polish aluminum centers.

Anyone have concerns over the fact they don't come hubcentric? Are the rings adequate for highway driving with no vibration??

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm no aware of any rims that fit the chevy bolt pattern that are hub centric.

Anyway, yes, the plastic hub rings provided work perfectly. Make sure you have any 18, 19 or 20 inch low profile tire road force balanced on whatever rim you choose.

I'm learning about now. I heard that HRE's and Asanti's as two examples do come Hubcentric to the specific vehicle from a wheel/tire shop tech. Maybe that is why they cost so much amongst anything else?

I just wasn't sure if the plastic ring adapters are what would be expected from a high end/expensive wheel.

OK,I have heard this "hubcentric" term before

Never could quite figure this out ,can someone explain what this is?

It makes NO sense to me that a wheel would not come with the hub centered

I am lost in this....

Quality is excellent. They balance well and I've never had any vibration issues.

Default No problems with Iforged wheels here...

"Hub centric rings are manufactured so that when they are installed on a vehicle, the wheels are located directly off of the centre flange of the brake drum or rotor. This is done to insure that the outer beads of the wheel are concentric with the wheel bearings. The result is a much truer, better balanced tire/wheel assembly. This is very important with modern high tech suspension systems."

There are 2 types of centering methods used on wheels, hubcentric, and lugcentric.

Hubcentric means the center bore of the wheel is sized to fit perfectly over the hub of the car, the duty of centering the wheel and supporting the load of the car is the job of the hub. The job of the lugnuts and studs is only to fasten the wheel to the hub, not designed to support the load of the car.

Lugcentric, means the lugnuts not only tighten the wheel, but they also align it to the hub, and essentially support the load too. In this case, the center bore of the wheel can be much larger than thus hub, it doesn't matter.

The reality is MOST modern cars out there use a combination of both. If it uses cone or ball seat lugnuts, the wheel will end up centered, even if the hub bore of the wheel is bigger than the hub.

Custom wheels often use thin rings to shim and make the wheel fit tightly on the hub, which helps to prevent any possible vibration issues, and to also reduce the load on the lug studs.
Plastic, although it seems cheap, is the common material to use in this adapter ring application, because mixing steel and aluminum in a tight fit (wheel bore-to-hub) produces rapid corrosion due to the dissimilar metals, and getting an aluminum wheel that's corroded and bonded itself to the steel hub can be a real bitch to remove if they've been on for a long time.

I love the look of my iForged 19x9.5-20x11 wheels but I think the tire options suck.....my tire walls are way to small with the 295 25 20 s and dont seem to be able to find sizes taller to fit.....makes the ride rather bumpy

Consider Pirelli PZero (Extreme Performance Summer) Size: 305/35ZR20 and 265/35 ZR19

IMO, even though it's ~ 28.4" tall tire, it'll look great out back when paired with the 27.3" front

I'm running a 345 30 19 out back so I'm at ~27.2" and paired with my front of ~25.6", I love the rake.

My iForged wheels are fantastic. Yeah there was some drama getting them almost 4 years ago but in the end it was worth it. I still get compliments everywhere I go. Quality and finish are exceptional.

Tom, thanks for the explanation! In your opinion, would it be better to go with Hubcentric or Lugcentric?
