Changed my battery a few months ago...put in a red top...no problems with the cd changer didn't even have to reset the the radio channels. Don't know what happened but I think its coincidental and that you may have a loose connection somewhere. Just my .02

Wouldn't think that just changing the battery would affect the CD changer like that.

Take a look in the car audio section. There is an article about this, it states that you need to unplug the harness at the changer and plug it back in. You might have to do this several times to get the head unit to recognize the CD Changer. Hope this helps. David

Open the cd, remove the magazine,, reinstall close the door and listen. You should hear the cd's indexing through a full cycle. Give it time to complete the cycle before you try to use it. I have had this before. Jim

From the last time this popped up:

In trying the instructions for getting the radio out of lock mode the first step was to press preset buttons 2 + 3 (if i remember correctly), so I did that and poof, all was well (didnt have to follow through with the rest of the instructions, XM just started working).
Worth a try, good luck.

Default batter change

I changed my battery prior to joining this forum, bought the regular liquid filled battery from Costco and didn't know. I just changed the battery and I had no problem at all with my CD changer being recognized.

The changer needs to be cycled. Just unplug the changer at the changer and plug it back in.

I'm having the same problem. Plug & unplug the connector at the changer many times, still doesn't work. Remove the magazine and put back in few times, still doesn't work. I guess I'll have to try the reset the lock mode and see what happen.
