Default Need advice quick

Hello,

I am looking at a Black 2003 Zo6 tomorrow. It has 85,000 miles on it He is asking 27k May be able to get for 25K I do not know. Is this a good price? He did tell me the front mask was repainted due to chips. Is this a good buy or should I hold out for an older regular C5 with lower miles

Thanks.

Roy

location is going to be a large part of how much you pay for the car. if you fill out your profile it will help with the equasion...

27 is steep for a car with that kind of miles - I would go 25 max...

I paid $29k for mine with 31k miles on it, but had to fly 400 miles for that deal cause the same car here in Seattle would have run $33k plus...

Mods generally do not add to the value of a car--at all.

I would not be interested in a car with mods because I now know that the owner probably drove the car harder than an owner without mods.

I too agree that the asking price is way too high for 80k+ miles. If you are not in a hurry, keep looking. Summer drives up vette prices. In the fall and winter, vette prices drop off drastically (???).

Check car out thoroughly. Look underneath for other damage, Run your finger along body panels. Original paint will have smooth edges of fenders and doors. Bumps indicate repainting.

See if there are any other forum members in your city. They will be happy to assist and inspect the car with you. Take your time. Ask here on the forum for more help; ask if anyone lives in your area and if he/she will go with you to look at car.

TAKE YOUR TIME.

ACT ON YOUR GUT FEELINGS.

ASK A MILLION QUESTIONS.

WALK IF YOU SUSPECT SOME FIBS.

REMEMBER. CORVETTES ARE LIKE WOMEN; THERE IS ANOTHER ONE JUST AROUND THE CORNER.

Nice knowing you; I will likely be killed within next 24 hrs because of that comment.

I am in Charlotte N.C.

I have been looking at 10 model C5's and came across this car. I was thinking I could get into a ZO6 for about waht I was going to pay for a coupe. I have pictures of the car and it looks real clean but I was not sure of the miles or what knind of mileage people are getting out of them.
At what price would this be a good deal with the mileage?

Thanks for all the help!
