Default SS Inserts

I know that this is probably a dupe so please answer me before you flame me, but I just got my SS Inserts in the mail today (thank you Chip, A.K.A. Willfulone) and I know its all about the prep work but other than what the directions tell me to do is there any recommendations of ways to make sure the letters will stay (I've heard some people complaining about how their letters are peeling off)

Thanks

Just follow the simple directions. Make sure the area is VERY clean. Apply them in warm weather. The "real" SS Inserts come with an extra packet of adhesive prep. Be sure to use that also. Q-tips come in very handy.

Prep the paint with denatured alcohol to get rid of the wax. then use adhesive promoter that comes with the letters. Apply when the temperatures are above 70 degrees. Press the letters hard after fixing in place.

Thanks for all the help, I got them on but one of the middle inserts of the letter "E" is tilted down kind of and reflects back differently than the others(Whoops). Is there a way I can fix this?

Heres a pic, you can barely see it:

Silly question but where can I find denatured alcohol? Checked with the pharmacy at the local grocery store and they said they didn't have any for the general public.

You might try an automotive paint supply house! If they don't have any they can probably direct you to someone who has it.

Lowes, HD, Ace, True Value... It will be with the paint thinner and the like.

Peace

You can gently peal it off, re-clean the area and get some 3M tape from NAPA.

Peace

Denatured alcohol is not necessary. Isopropyl alcohol will work just fine.

Get it at any drug store
