You'll always get arguments and opinions about what after market intake filter is "best". Now, most would agree that it's certainly among the "easiest" to install.

That and the Halltech Stinger are extremely easy to install. Now if you want to avoid losing 10 RWHP to engine bay heat, you can either open up the fog light panels (which may not look too good if you core holes, yourself) and/or do my CAI mod for the Stinger or Blackwing. More info:
Alot of people like these, and they are certainly easy to install. You can get perforated plastic panels for the fog light cutouts in the front bumper from Mid America. I don't remember what they cost, but they should go in easy, and they will direct cold outside air to the filter.
These panels typically do not go in easily. Some people have found it easiest to remove the whole front clip to do this. Many others have simply cored holes in with a spade drill and then covered up the imperfectly aligned holes with Z06 screens. I like the black panel look and bright fog lights.

I know that the fog light panels are a bit of a pain, since I replaced them when I installed my Vararam. However, they are accessable if you just remove the panels to either side or the air dam under the bumper.I got the ZO6 screens to prevent things from getting sucked into the Vararam filter. For this situation, it would make the Blackwing more effective, and although it's a bit of a pain, it would be worth the effort.
